I've got a few comments about ...Dan's intern here. I've got a few comments about some of the last couple of shows.

-You already started a WDL Ning, back in July I believe.

-Jeff, in the Penny Pinching episode you mentioned a vocab. site. Would this be it: http://www.sadlier-oxford.com/vocabulary/levels_a2h.cfm?

-I found the Capzles on http://cooltoolsforschools.wikispaces.com/

-I thought you might like a student's opinion on the Microsoft Word vs. Open Source debate. Personally, I prefer Word to Pages or Appleworks. It is much easier to navigate, and it has a lot more features. I understand that it changes a lot, but I think each version is similar enough to the last so someone could figure out the new version without too much difficulty. I think that having students use Word is fine. It teaches them how to use a word processor, which is important, and even if after they graduate they wind up using an Open Source word processor, their knowlege in Word will benefit them as they learn the knew program. I'd much rather pay for a dependable program than use a free program that doesn't have any of the features I'd like it to. And I'm not just saying this because I'm Dan's intern. I do disagree with Microsoft Publisher being unneccesary. I made your WDL flyer on Microsoft Publisher, and it was a lot easier than using Word.

All right, that's all I have to say. Keep the awesome shows coming!Kim F.https://www.blogger.com/profile/01660080207413879372noreply@blogger.com
